I would not take my pet here ever again.

I took my cat here to receive a checkup and a microchip and was so excited because this place is just for cats. As I was going to be traveling with him to Europe, I requested, several days before my appointment, for her to contact the appropriate veterinary association to figure out which microchip my cat needed for international travel. When I got to my appointment, the vet told me that she didn't know but had left messages and was waiting for an answer. As I could not have any of his shots without the microchip being placed first, I then rescheduled for a different date. The vet then went on and on about pet travel, in spite of the fact that I kept trying to politely edge my wait out of the door because my cat was freaking out being at the vet. After about 20 minutes of this, I said I had to leave because I had another appointment. She then had the audacity to charge me a $35 "consulation fee" saying that she informed me about pet travel, all of which I already knew from the airline website! When I said that didn't seem quite fair because she didn't even take my cat out his carrier and I already knew the information, she readily told me she would apply the $35 toward my next visit when she would actually being doing the service I made the appointment for in the first place. It was all very congenial and professional and except for the unncessary annoyance of having to bring my cat in to a place he hates twice instead of once, I was satisfied with the service. I had no problem until today, less than three days after my original appointment, when I received a voicemail message from her assistant telling me what microchip I needed and that my second appointment was cancelled and I should go to a different vet. So basically, I paid $35.00 for her to drone on about basic pet travel, which every pet owner already knows or has researched on their own before travel. That is insulting enough but to then tell me she'd apply the $35 to the next appointment and then to cancel that appointment is adding insult to injury. I wouldn't suggest that you go to such an unethical and unprepared vet.

Pros: The clinic is just for cats.

Cons: Unprofessional.

Very good!

I have been using cat clinic for 1-2 years now. I have 5 cats, and shopped around for the best price on spade/neuter - and they were the best. My 3 males made it through just fine and even came out with cute little scarves around their necks. They call to check up on the cats afterwards too. I've never had any bad run ins with them - and the vet, while older, seems to love cats and doesn't seem the type to be doing it for money either. The staff is pretty friendly (not over the top, but decent enough, they smile at least). The vet has always been pleasant. I personally prefer small vet clinics to hospitals anyhow. As for having issues with people who are going through financial difficulties - they tell you upfront that all money is due at the time of the appt. Use a credit card if you have to - but that's no reason to give them a bad review for your lack of reading. They also ask you whether or not your cat is inside/outside - I like this very much, as all cats do NOT need the same vacci
