For one reason or another,bands rarely stick it out to enjoy a 10 year anniversary,but Local favorites T-Bird and the Fat Cats have surpassed that mark with no signs of slowing down. Bassist Ed Clay says it's always been the bands desire to entertain an audience. The bands set list consists of classic rock and blues favorites as well as some more mondern rock,but members consider the band "a high energy dance band". The bands goal to choosing material is to choose songs that will entertain and also be known.Songs by blues greats Muddy waters and B.B. King,to Al Green and Wilson Pickett,is just a small example of this groups large repertorie.The Band,s history is marked with many line-up changes,saxiphonist Tommy"T-Bird" Meadows,Bassist Ed Clay and Guitarist Forrest Higgins Drummer Jason Balbuena,and Guitarist MoeTrujillo are the bands core members. All members of the group contribute vocals during the bands show. In 2001 T-Bird and The Fat Cats assumed the role of weekend house band at O'Reilly's on Creighton rd. The crowd always loves them and they enjoy what they do,and that is give the audience a good,clean,fun rock show.They play music that appeals to all ages.
