Pensacola Florida Travel
With so many incredible beaches on Florida's emerald-green coastline, it can be difficult to find the right place for your vacation. It is no coincidence that Florida is often referred to as the "Emerald Coast" - it is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world.
It makes perfect sense, as it is located at a breathtaking distance from the city of Pensacola and its surrounding communities. This includes the famous Nick's Beach, named after the sparkling emerald waters. Dolphin sightings are very common in the water and can be seen as far as the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Visitors to Pensacola Beach consider it one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, even more so than Daytona Beach.
There is, however, a strong argument that the most attractive free attraction in Pensacola itself is the city itself.
Pensacola is located in the Panhandle of Florida and is surrounded by a 50-mile coastline that includes the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. But in this marine wilderness lies one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world: the city itself. Sam's Fun City lives up to its name by being one of the funniest destinations in Pensacola. The community of Pensacsola Beach is located just a few miles south of downtown, just off Interstate 10. Zen is located on Penscola Beach in Florida, on the south side of the Florida Gulf Coast, about 30 miles from the coast.
Most of the beach visitors to Pensacola are regional visitors, and can be reached by car, bus, boat or ferry from the Gulf Coast in three hours. First, tanker rides, described as Florida Back Roads Travel, are 100 miles from Pensacola, so be prepared to pay tolls one way. To get to Pensacsola Beach, you only need to take a one-way trip on Interstate 10 and drive on I-10 for two days, but it's worth it.
I-110 is a major highway that runs north to south and provides a very convenient guide to traveling through the city. If you drive south from Pensacola to Alabama, you'll save about two hours by taking the short cut on Highway 29 to 65 when you drive into the heart of Pensacsola. The I-110 is the longest, but long enough to provide one of the most beautiful views in town and great views of Florida's Gulf Coast. The Pensacola Lighthouse offers a climb up from which one has a good view over the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Panhandle and Florida Gulf Coast.
If you want to climb the 177 steps to Floridian perfection, the Pensacola Lighthouse Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for free guided tours.
Look for cool places in Pensacola and consider visiting a home game, or put a little extra gas in your car and stop off at the Gulf Breeze Zoo during your Pensacola vacation. Visits to Pensacsola fall between April and August, so visit Pensacsola during these months with good weather, good food and good entertainment.
Condor Sailing Adventures is not one of the craziest tourist attractions in Pensacola, but if you're looking for a relaxed and romantic holiday destination, it won't get better than a gentle sailing with dolphins. Book your relaxing boat trip on the 63 foot long covered catamaran for $63 per day or $100 per week for the entire trip. No matter where you choose to rent Pensacola Beach vacation homes, all the fun and excitement of Florida is in one place.
Pensacola Beach apartments are located right in the heart of the city, just a few blocks from the beach and shopping and restaurants.
If you're wondering what to do in this Florida area, Pensacola Beach Resort and Spa offers stunning ocean and beach views.
If you fancy something different, Fort Barrancas was a personal highlight of my recent trip to Pensacola. Unfortunately, I did not manage to visit Fort Pickens, which is located on the opposite side of Pensacsola Bay, but if you want to spend a lot of time on the beach, you should check out a hotel on the beach of Pensacsola or Perdido Key, which will save you both a lot of driving. If you've ever thought of miniature golf, shopping and arcades, Panama City or Destin might be a good choice for you. But for those of you who are in the mood for something new or just a short drive from a Pensaola hotel, Pensahula Beach, Florida is the place to be.
